ONS CONDUCTS A TWO-DAY VALIDATION WORKSHOP FOR PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANIES OPERATING IN SIERRA LEONE, 14-15 SEPTEMBER 2023.

The National Security Coordinator, Office of National Security, Mr. Abdulai Caulker was the keynote speaker at the two-day Validation Workshop conducted by the ONS for Private Security Companies (PSCs). The workshop was held at the Police Officers Mess at Kingtom.

The purpose of the workshop was to validate the recently developed document for the regulations for all PSCs in Sierra Leone.  The objectives include ensuring PSCs’ compliance with the licensing regime of the country, improving service delivery for clients of PSCs, payment of the minimum wage to employees, strengthening collaboration among institutions involved in the registration process of PSCs, among others.

The target audience at the workshop included all licensed PSC operatives and their Filed Managers as well as all state institutions that are involved in the registration of PSCs in Sierra Leone, other stakeholder.
