Monitoring and Evaluation

The Monitoring and Oversight (M&O) Department is responsible for interface between the Office of National Security (ONS) and Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Foreign Missions, Private Sector and NGOs in order to strengthen the synergy between line ministries and core security institutions and their international partners. The Department is the principal liaison between parliament and cabinet on security matters. Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

  • Work with the COS to ensure the ONS programme is fully delivered;
  • Work with ONS focal point for GoSL’s Performance Contract and make follow-up on key activities of the ONS as agreed with GoSL’s performance contract and highlight areas of successful implementation and challenges for consideration by COS/DNSCoord
  • Monitor and assess the adherence of all directorates to their performance targets
  • Coordinate with directors to enhance the implementation of an effective and timely staff appraisal system in the ONS
  • Provide a quarterly assessment of performance indicators across all ONS directorates for the attention of the NSCoord through the COS
  • Ensure all ONS activities are linked to the requirements of the NTA
  • Identify delivery gaps in the ONS strategic plan.
  • Carry out any other activity that the COS/DNSCoord may direct
